router for the house?

Postby thaaku on Sat Jan 30, 2010 9:51 am

i looked at the recommended routers sticky, but i want some more input before i pull the trigger on buying something. i dont have many wireless devices (so far a ps3, but will add a laptop in the mix, and guests laptops/wireless devices will follow later). i was thinking about getting a simple G router until more N choices come out and because the ps3 only has a b/g wifi adapter in it (i'd love to get simultaneous dual-band but my wallet disagrees with me at the moment).

I would recommend Netgear DG834N. It is backward compatible with G standard so will work perfectly with PS3. As it's N standard you can use with a N compatible Dongle or laptop. I have been using it on my PS3 for while. It provides better signal range than my older DG834GT. :D

Now since people generally prefer wireless routers hence in that case DIR-655 is the best.Even I have got it installed at our new residence last year and it works really awesome.
