Spyware blockers. What is the best software ?

I am recently getting too many spyware in my system. Its really bugging me. I visit many sites that look legitmate but some how i end up getting infected. I need a good spyware blockers, it can one piece of software or many combined that will prevent spyware getting into my system. Does anyone have any recommendation on which spyware blockers work the best.

I use spybot search and destroy for my spyware blocker. I have been doing so for few years now and it seems to be quite effective. It is capable of running in the background and can also scan your whole system should any spyware infect your computer.

There are many spyware blockers in market nowadays. Some are free and others you have to pay for.

I am pretty happy with spybot as its free and has frequent updates although its not as effective as it use to be.

I use AVG Anti-spyware free edition. It is top quality virus & anti-virus software. It performs better than many paid ones in my opinion. Its also great for blocking those nasty spyware junk that can infect your PCs without warning.

My personal favourite is Spyware Doctor http://www.pctools.com/spyware-doctor/. It consistently managed to block all spyware. The free version does not remove the spyware after the scan, for which you would need the full version.

I have tried many security tools such as panda, avast, eset etc but found spyware doctor most effective. I would say its definitely worth buying the full version. If you want spyware out of your system, then you should consider spywre doctor.

As you can see, there are many opinions on this topic. Most of the Spyware Blockers programs mentioned here are good ones. Spware Blockers can be classified into 2 categories. #1 is free spyware blockers. #2) is pay for spyware blockers.
Although I would like to mention some free options for you to consider, many times free spyware blockers might not be as effective as ones that you purchase. You also have to be very careful when downloading free antispyware from the internet, because there are many so-called free antispyware programs that will actually install the spyware/malware/adware themselves. There are a few that are considered very reputable.

These 2 free programs combined may do the trick for many people. However everyone also has to practice good habits on the internet to make sure you stay spyware/malware/adware free. The first precaution is being very careful what you download. Many free downloads are responsible for a large portion of these malicious programs on computers. You might want to consider only downloading reputable products from reputable sources. Also be very careful to not open strange emails. This where good preventative software can really come in handy.
